Embarking on a journey of innovation and entrepreneurship is both thrilling and challenging. For us, this journey began with the guidance of our mentor, Vishram Bapat Sir, and our project, Satvik Ritu.
Satvik Ritu is not just a project; it’s a movement towards breaking taboos and fostering a healthier, more informed society. We believe that menstruation is a natural and beautiful part of life, deserving of respect and understanding. By providing accurate information and fostering open discussions, we aim to dispel myths and misconceptions surrounding menstruation.
Our commitment extends beyond education; we advocate for menstrual equality, recognizing that access to menstrual products and proper healthcare is a basic human right. We strive to create an inclusive space where individuals feel empowered to embrace their menstrual journey, regardless of their background or circumstances.
From supporting individuals dealing with PMS/PMDD to guiding young girls through their first period, Satvik Ritu is dedicated to promoting holistic menstrual wellness. We believe that by embracing menstrual wellness with pride and dignity, we can create a more compassionate and supportive society for all.
Through our work, we hope to spark a global conversation about menstruation and inspire positive change in how society views and supports menstrual health.
Our story took a significant turn during our third year of college when we received a message from our college about an ideathon competition organized by WISE. Little did we know that this would be the start of a remarkable chapter in our lives.
The first step was to submit the abstract of our idea for the competition. With dedication and hard work, we crafted a compelling abstract that outlined the vision and potential impact of Satvik Ritu. The next round required us to pitch our idea, and armed with a well-prepared presentation, we confidently presented our project. To our delight, we emerged as the winners of the Ideathon 2023-24, a moment that filled us with immense pride and joy.
Following our success in the competition, we signed an agreement with WISE to preincubate our project. The name WISE truly reflects its purpose – to nourish and support innovative ideas like Satvik Ritu. As per the agreement, we were provided with a dedicated space at WISE to work on our project. This space not only gave us a conducive environment for creativity but also access to facilities like printers and computers, which were instrumental in our project development.
One of the most valuable aspects of being associated with WISE is the opportunities it provides for funding. Through various programs and initiatives, WISE has opened doors for us to secure the resources needed to bring Satvik Ritu to life. Additionally, WISE has given us the platform to showcase our project at events like the Aavishkar interuniversity competition, where we can connect with a wider audience and gain valuable feedback.
Satvik Ritu is evolving, and as version 2, we are excited to announce that we are expanding our horizons by incorporating AI features into our applications. This new development will enhance the user experience and provide innovative solutions to further support menstrual wellness globally.
